Multi – Function Tower Hoist

Multi-Function Tower Hoist: One Construction Tower Hoist for Concrete, Tiles and Rebar

A building site rarely needs just one kind of lift. In the morning it’s concrete for a slab. By afternoon the finishing crew wants tiles and fittings upstairs, and the next day the steel gang needs long bars at the working level. Three jobs often mean three machines, three operators and a lot of waiting.

The Jaypee MFTH series is made to cut that down. It’s a multi-function tower hoist that handles all three kinds of load with the right attachment, so a single machine covers most of the vertical transport on a mid-rise job.

What Is a Multi-Purpose Tower Hoist?

A multi-purpose tower hoist is a lifting machine that runs up a steel mast fixed alongside the building. It uses a wire rope and a winch to raise a platform or cage, and it takes different attachments for different loads.

Here the word “multi” is literal. Fit the concrete bucket and it’s a concrete lifter. Remove it and the platform carries finishing materials. Add the rebar attachment and it takes long reinforcement bars. One mast, one drive, three roles.

Why Contractors Like It

  • Fewer machines on site: less rental, less floor space used, fewer operators
  • Lower reliance on a tower crane: the optional rebar attachment can take over bar lifting that would otherwise tie up the crane
  • Quick set-up: the hoist erects itself, so the crew can raise and extend it without a separate crane

Construction Tower Hoist Models: MFTH 100 and MFTH 150

Jaypee offers two sizes in this multi-function construction hoist range. Here is how they compare.

Feature MFTH 100 MFTH 150
Load capacity 1000 kg 1500 kg
Maximum height 70 m 120 m
Cage platform (L x B x H) 900 x 800 x 600 mm 1200 x 900 x 600 mm
Lifting speed 30 m/min 30 m/min
Motor 7.5 HP (5.5 kW) 12.5 HP (9.3 kW)
Drive Heavy-duty wire rope winch Heavy-duty wire rope winch
Travel type Wire rope Wire rope

Both models finish the mast and cage with shot blasting, zinc chromate primer and enamel paint, a combination that holds up well against site dust and rain.

Which One Should You Choose?

Count the building first. At up to 70 m, the MFTH 100 suits low and mid-rise projects such as residential blocks, small commercial buildings and factory sheds. If you’re going higher, up to 120 m, or you routinely lift heavier loads, the MFTH 150 gives you extra capacity and a stronger motor.

Attachments That Make This Multi-Function Construction Hoist Worth It

  • Concrete Bucket

A 0.4 cubic metre bucket (rated for about one ton) lets you lift wet concrete straight to the pour. For slab and column work on upper floors, this removes a lot of manual carrying and keeps the pour moving.

  • Vertical and Horizontal Rebar Attachments

Both attachments carry bars up to 6 m long. Vertical fitting suits bars hoisted in an upright position, while the horizontal one carries them lying flat. Bars are awkward and heavy, and lifting them by hand is slow and risky. This is the attachment that can reduce how much you depend on a tower crane.

  • FC Drive

The optional frequency converter drive gives smoother starts and stops, which is easier on the machinery and on delicate loads such as tiles and fittings.

Safety Features on the Multi-Purpose Tower Hoist

No site wants to learn about a hoist’s safety system the hard way. Jaypee fits these protections:

  • Controlled lowering
  • Broken rope safety device with emergency brake
  • Upper and lower travel limit switches
  • Slack rope limit switch
  • Phase failure and reversal protection
  • Emergency stop switch
  • Thermal overload protection for the drive motor

The slack rope switch and rope-snapping device matter a great deal on any wire rope hoist. If the rope loosens or breaks, the machine stops the platform instead of letting it fall.

Where This Construction Tower Hoist Fits Best

It works well for residential towers, commercial complexes, hospitals, schools, factory buildings and similar mid-rise work. Teams that handle both structure and finishing in the same phase benefit most, since the same machine keeps lifting as the job changes.

Buy from a Maker That Supports What It Sells

Jaypee India Limited manufactures the MFTH series at its Howrah factory. Offices in Kolkata, Delhi and Mumbai handle sales, spares and service, so help doesn’t depend on a distant dealer. When you are mid-pour and a part fails, a short supply chain matters.

However, you can easily ask for a quote on the hotline, +91 90512 34444, available round the clock, or email solutions@jaypee.in. Tell the team your building height, usual loads and which attachments you want.

FAQs

  1. What can a multi-function tower hoist lift?
It carries concrete, finishing materials such as tiles and fittings, and long reinforcement bars, depending on the attachment fitted.
  2. How high can the MFTH series go?
    The MFTH 100 reaches 70 m and the MFTH 150 reaches 120 m.
  3. What is the lifting speed?
Both models travel at 30 metres per minute.
  4. Does it need a crane to set up?
No. The hoist has a self-erecting mechanism, so the crew can install and extend it without a separate crane.
  5. What safety devices are included?
A broken rope device with emergency brake, slack rope and travel limit switches, phase failure protection, an emergency stop, and motor thermal overload protection.
